In Shadow the Hedgehog Flash, the Light Shot is a weapon useable by Shadow the Hedgehog. However, it can be reloaded with another twenty shots by picking up another Light Shot. A Light Shot can fire a total of twenty shots, and once those run out, it becomes useless. In comparison to other weapons, the Light Shot has low damage output, making them mostly useful during early Stages. As a gun, the Light Shot can shoot enemies from a distance (targets within range will be automatically targeted).

Touching one will make the playable character pick it up automatically, and pressing / / (whether on the ground or in mid-air) will fire it. Light Shots can be dropped by defeated enemies that wield them or released from breakable Containers. They can be wielded by enemies aligned with the Black Arms, who will use them against the player. In Shadow the Hedgehog, the Light Shot can only be found in certain Stages (although they are found in nearly every Stage). It is a basic plasma weapon akin to the Pistols used by GUN Soldiers. The Light Shot is mostly gray with black details, such as the handle. This object also appears to be the weapon's power source.
